Pol Bury is a Belgian painter and sculptor born April 26, 1922 in La Louvière. Bury practiced drawing, painting, sculpture, but also writing, creating jewellery, building fountains, and directing several experimental short films. He is considered to be a major, internationally recognized contemporary artist of the 20th century. It is above all his reliefs and kinetic sculptures that have given the artist his place in the history of art. The Belgian artist is one of the founders of kinetic art.
